At Nihongo Picnic, we provide online Japanese and English lessons tailored to your company and your learners.

Our lessons can be used for employee training or as an employee benefit. We work with companies across different industries, including IT and gaming.

Every company is different, and so is the way people use language at work. We work with you to create a program based on what your learners actually need Japanese or English for.

Teachers Who Fit Your Learners

Our team includes experienced Japanese and English teachers with different areas of expertise, including business communication, test preparation. We match learners with teachers based on their goals, level, and the type of support they need.

How Companies Use Our Lessons

Every company is different, and so is the way people use language at work. That’s why we don’t start with a fixed program. We look at who your learners communicate with, what they need the language for, and build the lessons around that.

Learning from Real Work Materials

For one company, we have an NDA in place so learners can use documents from their actual work as lesson materials.

The teacher identifies useful vocabulary and expressions from these documents and creates activities to help learners practice using them in their own communication.

Practicing with Colleagues

For another company, we provide both Japanese and English lessons.

Together with their HR team, we created a simple optional weekly interview activity. Each week, learners receive a short question, such as “What games did you like to play when you were a child?”

They ask a colleague in the language they are learning and bring the answers back to class. It’s a simple way to practice outside the classroom and get to know their colleagues a little better too.

In-Person Workshops

Our regular corporate lessons are online, but we also offer in-person workshops for workplaces where Japanese and English speakers work together.

Japanese-speaking employees learn with a Japanese teacher how to make their Japanese easier for non-native speakers to understand, while English-speaking employees work with an English teacher on ways to make their English easier to understand.

Reports & Payment

Attendance reports and monthly teacher comments are available upon request.

Fees vary depending on your program, and additional fees may apply for curriculum development and reporting. We usually invoice monthly, with payment by bank transfer. Credit card payment may also be available for companies outside Japan.
