In this renewal, we focused on making it easier for you to find the information you need. We also wanted to express the essence of Nihongo Picnic. Our sense of community and the connections between people, which we believe are our biggest strengths.
While working on the new site, I took some time to reflect deeply on what kind of company I want Nihongo Picnic to be. I also thought carefully about the kind of lessons we want to offer and what we value beyond just teaching Japanese.
Our goal is to create more than just a place to study language. We hope to build a space where learning Japanese becomes a way to engage with culture, think about social issues, and most importantly, connect with others through language. That vision inspired not only the website redesign but also a new logo.

Welcome Guillaume Hansali!
We’re thrilled to welcome Guillaume Hansali as our new Director of Strategy!
Guillaume has led a successful gaming company in Japan for many years. He’s fluent in Japanese and brings expertise in business, management, and technology.
I first met him about 10 years ago when I was teaching Japanese to his team as a freelancer. Since then, he’s been a trusted advisor, and now he’s officially part of our team, helping us grow with purpose.
