Terms and Conditions

1. General Online Learning Guidelines

• All classes are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet. Please check your audio and video settings before each lesson.

  • Test audio on Zoom | Test video on Zoom

  • Preview audio and video on Google Meet

• We strongly recommend not using smartphones for lessons.

• Have all necessary materials ready before class (e.g., computer, textbooks in paper or Kindle edition).

• Recording lessons is strictly prohibited.

• If background noise disrupts the lesson, you may be asked to mute your microphone.

• Other teachers from our school may observe lessons with prior notice.

• Harassment or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.

• Sharing our original materials, class materials, or slides on social media or with others is prohibited.

2. Time Zones

• Lesson times are shown in Japan Standard Time (JST).

• Please adjust for daylight saving time or other changes in your local time.

3. Group Lessons 

Pricing & Materials

• Monthly Fee: ¥17,600 per month for 4 lessons (tax included), assigned based on your level check.

• You may need to purchase textbooks or materials at an additional cost, unless otherwise specified.

Scheduling & Policies

• No refunds for missed classes.

Payment

• Lessons for the upcoming month are billed on the 25th of the current month.

• Payment is via credit/debit card (processed through Stripe).

• Stripe securely manages your card details; Nihongo Picnic does not have access to your card number.

4. Private Lessons (1-on-1)

Pricing & Materials

• Monthly Plan: ¥26,400 (tax included) for 4 lessons/month (6,600 yen per lesson)

• Spot Lesson: ¥8,800 per 50-minute session (tax included)

• You may need to purchase textbooks or materials at an additional cost, unless otherwise specified.

Scheduling

• Lessons are scheduled monthly based on your and your teacher’s availability.

• No refunds for missed lessons.

• You may reschedule a lesson with at least 24 hours’ notice, provided it takes place within the same month. If notice is not given at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, the full lesson fee will be charged. Notification must be made by email to your teacher, with Nihongo Picnic (info@nihongopicnic.com) in CC.

• If your last lesson of the month needs to be rescheduled, you may carry it over to the first week of the following month.

Lesson Adjustments for Irregular Months

• If you anticipate having fewer lessons in a particular month due to work, travel, or other personal reasons, please notify us by the 20th of the previous month so we can adjust your monthly billing accordingly.

Payment

• Lessons for the upcoming month are billed on the 27th of the current month.

• Payment is via credit/debit card (processed through Stripe) or bank transfer (contact us for details).

• Stripe securely manages your card details; Nihongo Picnic does not have access to your card number.

  
  

5. Cancellation

• Notify us by the 20th of the current month to cancel your plan for the following month. Cancellations made after the 20th will take effect from the month after next.

6. Refund Policy

All sales are final. Lesson fees are non-refundable once paid.
