📢 In-person event: Beginner Grammar for Intermediate Japanese Learners
2026/01/29
We’re hosting an in-person Japanese learning event in Tokyo on Friday, March 6, 2026, and we’d love to see you there! This event is open to everyone, whether you’re a Nihongo Picnic student or not.
Why revisit beginner grammar?
Let’s be honest: nobody fully masters every grammar point from GENKI or Minna no Nihongo before moving on. Life happens, things get fuzzy, and suddenly you’re at intermediate level still second-guessing それ vs あれ.
And yet, this is the grammar you use every single day. It’s what makes your Japanese sound natural and effortless.
If you’ve ever thought, “I know this grammar... but I still can’t use it smoothly,” you’re not alone, and this event is for you.
What to expect
We’ll revisit the beginner grammar points that trip up intermediate learners most, but with intermediate-level vocabulary, so it won’t feel like starting over. There’ll be plenty of time for group discussion, and we’ll wrap up with drinks and good conversation.
Once you reach intermediate level, it’s surprisingly rare to get a chance to revisit the basics properly. This is that chance! Come refresh your foundation in a relaxed, supportive environment.
