Teaching Philosophy

I began studying Korean after turning 40, so I truly understand how hard it can be to learn a new language and stay motivated—especially as an adult. That’s why I place great importance on each student’s individual pace, helping them learn in a way that’s relaxed, enjoyable, and sustainable. I also try to create a safe, encouraging atmosphere where students feel free to make mistakes and keep trying. Even when words don’t come right away, I’m here to support you gently and patiently as you find them.

Animals: I love animals and used to have two cats. I enjoy chatting with fellow animal lovers and hope to be involved in animal rescue someday.

Life Abroad: I’m interested in different cultures and customs around the world. I’d love to exchange stories about living abroad with students.

Korea: Korean culture is loved around the world, especially K-pop and dramas! I may not know all the idol groups, but I’d love to talk with anyone interested in Korean culture.
