Ayumi studied psychology at university and spent a year studying abroad in Ireland, where she became comfortable using English in daily life. She began her teaching journey by volunteering at local Japanese language classes and working as a private tutor at a cram school before becoming a full-time Japanese teacher.

Because of my background in psychology, I value empathy and emotional connection. Having been a language learner myself while studying abroad, I can relate to the challenges students face and aim to create a space where they feel understood and supported. I also draw on my experience working with children at a cram school to build a relaxed, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable speaking.
