Akane has studied abroad in Poland and worked as a Japanese teacher in Russia, in addition to teaching at a language school in Japan. She is certified in both the 420-hour Japanese teacher training course and the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test. Drawing from her diverse teaching experiences with students from Asia in in-person classes and from Europe and North America online, she consciously balances different perspectives and cultural values in her lessons. Her emphasis is on helping students communicate naturally, using as much Japanese as possible from the beginner level onward.

I aim to support each studentโs journey by adapting to their goals, interests, and learning styles so they can continue learning with confidence and enjoyment. While we practice the basics thoroughly, I also help students talk about themselves and express their ideas. I use as little English as possible and keep the lessons mostly in Japanese. I always do my best to explain grammar and vocabulary clearly and respond to studentsโ questions with care.
