Nihongo Picnic is all about community building.
Recently, we hosted an event in collaboration with the Tokyo-based music school Tokyo Pulse at The Den in Koenji.
This time, we joined Open Stage, a monthly event organized by Tokyo Pulse. What makes Open Stage special is that it’s not limited to Tokyo Pulse students; any guest can jump on stage and perform on the spot. It’s a welcoming space where music brings everyone together.
Some of us got to try the drums between performances, chatted with other musicians, and simply enjoyed being surrounded by live music and lovely people.
The atmosphere was quite different from our usual Nihongo Picnic events, and that’s exactly what made it so refreshing.
A huge thank you to everyone at Tokyo Pulse. We’d love to do this again!
From Live Music to Karaoke
Inspired by the music, a few of us simply couldn’t end the night without a karaoke!
Lately, we’ve had more and more chances to go to karaoke with Nihongo Picnic students.
